Prefer a tablet instead of a weekly injection?

We're pleased to offer Oral Wegovy® (semaglutide) – a once-daily prescription tablet designed to help adults lose weight when combined with healthy eating and increased physical activity.

You may be suitable if you are:

• BMI of 30 kg/m² or above, or
• BMI of 27 kg/m² or above with a weight-related medical condition, such as:
  • High blood pressure
  • Type 2 diabetes or pre-diabetes
  • High cholesterol
  • Obstructive sleep apnoea
  • Cardiovascular disease

All patients will receive a clinical assessment with one of our prescribing clinicians before treatment is supplied to ensure Oral Wegovy is safe and appropriate.

• Weeks 1–4: 1.5 mg once daily (£110)
• Weeks 5–8: 4 mg once daily (£110)
• Weeks 9–12: 9 mg once daily (Price to follow)
• From Week 13: 25 mg once daily (maintenance) (Price to follow)

Your clinician may recommend staying on a lower dose for longer if needed before increasing.

• Take one tablet every morning.
• Take it on an empty stomach after at least 8 hours without food.
• Swallow with a small amount of water.
• Wait at least 30 minutes before eating, drinking (other than water) or taking other medicines.
