Our Private Meningitis B Vaccination Service offers protection against MenB disease for both children and adults from 2 years of age. Vaccinations are provided by trained pharmacy professionals under a Patient Group Direction (PGD), following a clinical assessment to ensure suitability and appropriateness for each patient.
Depending on clinical appropriateness and vaccine availability, we may administer either Trumenba or Bexsero as part of the service. Our team will advise on the most suitable option and dosing schedule during your appointment.
We provide a convenient, professional, and accessible alternative to GP services, with flexible appointment availability in a trusted community pharmacy setting.

Trumemba
Trumenba is a vaccine used to help protect against invasive meningococcal group B (MenB) disease, a rare but serious bacterial infection that can lead to meningitis and septicaemia (blood poisoning). MenB infections can develop rapidly and may become life-threatening within hours.
Trumenba is licensed for use in individuals aged 10 years and over and works by helping the immune system produce antibodies against a range of MenB strains. It is commonly used for adolescents, university students, and adults who may be at increased risk of exposure.
The vaccination schedule can vary depending on age and risk factors, but most patients will require either a 2-dose or 3-dose course. Your suitability and recommended schedule will be discussed during your clinical assessment.
Common side effects are generally mild and may include:
Our pharmacy team will advise whether Trumenba or Bexsero is the most appropriate MenB vaccine based on clinical suitability, age, and current vaccine availability.
Bexsero
Bexsero is a vaccine used to help protect against invasive meningococcal group B (MenB) disease, a serious bacterial infection that can cause meningitis and septicaemia (blood poisoning). Although uncommon, MenB infections can become severe very quickly and may lead to serious complications.
Our private Bexsero vaccination service is available for children and adults from 2 years of age. The vaccine helps the body develop immunity against several strains of MenB bacteria and is commonly used for children, teenagers, university students, and adults seeking additional protection.
The number of doses required depends on age and clinical circumstances. In many cases, a 2-dose course is recommended, with doses usually given at least one month apart. Your recommended vaccination schedule will be discussed during your clinical assessment.
Common side effects are generally mild and temporary, and may include:
Our pharmacy team will advise whether Bexsero or Trumenba is the most suitable MenB vaccine based on clinical suitability, age, and current vaccine availability.
