Protect yourself and those around you this winter. NHS bookings for the 2026/27 flu and COVID-19 vaccination programme are now open.

Flu and COVID-19 have different NHS eligibility criteria this year.

Being eligible for an NHS flu vaccination does not necessarily mean you are eligible for an NHS COVID-19 vaccination. 

Our clinicians are required to confirm your eligibility and may be unable to vaccinate you if you do not meet the NHS criteria.  

 From 1 September 2026
● Pregnant women
● Children aged 2 or 3 years on 31 August 2026
● Children aged 6 months to under 18 years in a clinical risk group 

From 1 October 2026
● Adults aged 65 years and over
● Adults aged 18 to under 65 years in a clinical risk group
● Residents of long-stay care homes
● Carers receiving Carer's Allowance or those who are the main carer of an elderly or disabled person
● Close contacts of immunocompromised individuals
● Eligible frontline social care workers  

If you're also eligible for an NHS COVID-19 vaccination, you'll be offered your COVID vaccine and have both at the same appointment.  

The autumn/winter NHS COVID-19 vaccination programme runs from 1 October 2026 to 31 January 2027.

Eligibility is more limited than for the NHS flu vaccination. 

You may be eligible if you are:
● Aged 75 years or over
● A resident in a care home for older adults
● Aged 6 months or over and immunosuppressed

Yes. 

If you're eligible for both NHS vaccinations, flu and COVID-19 vaccines can usually be given during the same appointment. 

ONE APPOINTMENT • TWO VACCINES • WINTER PROTECTION 

Remember, eligibility is different for each vaccine, so please check that you qualify for both before selecting both vaccinations.  

You can still choose to protect yourself this winter.
We offer private winter vaccinations from the 1st October for patients who     aren't eligible through the NHS or who simply want additional protection.
